Edouard Fléchier's masterful fragrance, ROSE TONNERRE features a paradoxical interaction of rose and truffle.
In the middle of a misty garden, at night, a rose gives its most beautiful scent. The air is stormy, stimulating the darkest scents of nature... ROSE TONNERRE is the result of a personal project by Edouard Fléchier. A new base, a sort of olfactory sketch, which he presented to Frédéric Malle, and which reproduced the fragrance of a Périgord truffle. This blend of dark, woody and animalic notes was intended for men's fragrances, but the two partners came up with the seemingly paradoxical idea of marrying it with the quintessential feminine note: rose. In the hands of the master perfumer, the queen of flowers becomes dark and sensual. Bewitching.
